Why We Love Ian Somerhalder
He’s not just another pretty face. 
Ian is good to the core, he’s genuine, and down to earth. He adores his fans and takes time out of his busy schedule for us as often as he can. Whether it’s an awards ceremony, a convention, or where ever he is, he always makes sure he thanks his fans. 
To say that he is a compassionate human being would be an understatement. He cares about the world and it’s problems, so much so that he took his fame and good fortune and created a foundation to help solve these problems. He is inspiring people everyday to get out there and help make the world a better place. He believes that together we can make a difference.
He moves us on television. Whether your laughing, crying, or severely pissed off at him, Damon Salvatore is always making us feel something on The Vampire Diaries. Ian brings it every. single. time. There is no one that could portray the complexity that is Damon as well as Ian can.
He’s simply captured our hearts like no other.
